This piece was written by Ahlam Alamamy. Ahlam Alamamy is a communication intern for the BC Academic Technology blog. She is pursuing her Associates degree in biology at Bakersfield College, and aspires to become a pediatrician. She is a first generation student who strives to get a higher education to reach her goals. During her free time, she loves spending quality time with family and taking trips to parks and beaches around California.

With my time working at the Renegade hub and in the computer commons, I have noticed that when students know how to navigate InsideBC, reset their password, choose the best browser, install free Microsoft Office tools, and access online service support they will have an easier time being successful at BC. Feel free to share this infographic with your students or the text version of the infographic with this blog post. You can also search Canvas Commons for the page “Bakersfield College Student Technology Starter Kit” and import the page into your course to help support students with their basic technology needs.
